内容摘要： 受印度国内印度教民族主义思潮的影响，印度移民在美国异域文化环境下日益重视维护印度教认同。他们保留传统的生活方式，积极参与印度教民族主义组织的活动，建立印度教网络虚拟社区。他们的印度教认同不仅影响了印度的海外印度人政策，也影响了印度国内选举和地方政治势力。同时，印度移民通过彰显软实力、参与美国政治并影响姜印关系．提升了印度移民和印度在美国的形象。 Abstract: Under the influences of Hinduism-nationalism, Indian immigrants within the context of the mainstream American culture increasingly reinforce their Hindu-identification. They maintain traditional lifestyle, participate activities organized by Hindu-nationalist associations, establish Hindu internet communities. Their Hinduism identification has influenced not only the Indian overseas Indian policies but also the elections and the local politics in India.
